April Fool’s Day is right around the corner and it offers a great opportunity for small business owners to bring some fun into the work place. Here we’ve compiled some of our favorite pranks as found on you-can-be-funny.com and tensionnot.com.
1. Tell a friend that you know a great trick. Put your hand palm-down on the table and balance a full glass of beer (or any liquid) on the back of your hand. Bet your friend that they can’t balance a glass on both hands at once (with your help to put them in place). As soon as you have the glasses balanced, stand up and walk out. They will be trapped and will have to spill the beers to escape.
2. Put a note on your victim’s car that says “Sorry about the dent. Call me so we can swap insurance information.” Include a fake name and phone number. Be sure to hide nearby so you can watch them search in vain for the “dent.”
3. Make some “delicious” caramel apples. But trick your victim by substituting an onion for their apple!
4. Scoop about an inch of deodorant from the top of the victim’s stick deodorant. Then take a slice of cream cheese and carefully insert it into the deodorant container, sculpting it so it looks like deodorant. Put the top back on and wait for the fun!
5. Paint a bar of soap with clear nail polish and let it dry. Put the non-sudsing soap in the shower or bath and wait for the questions to begin.
6. Prank both the kids and dad by placing small pieces of clear tape over the sensors on the television and gaming console remotes.
7. Advertise your bosses’ job in the local newspaper - (Great if you want to get fired!).
8. Get a balloon and put it on the tailpipe of a truck, Ferrari, etc. (Make sure the car isn't already on!) Then get in it and have your parents start it up and it will pop. It will sound like the tire popped.
9. Scrape the cream out of Oreo cookies and fill them with white toothpaste!.
10. Use a 3M Post-it notes placed underneath someone's computer mouse - ensure that it covers the ball or the optical sensor on the bottom. When they go to use the mouse, it won't work! On the 3M Post-it simply write April Fools!
11. Superglue a pen cap to the pen and ask people if they can get it off for you!
12. Go around the office and tell random people that a particular person (e.g. your friend) wanted them to drop over at 11am - they will be surprised when 50 people drop around to their cubicle at once.
13. Start a rumor that your company is being taken over and loads of staff will be made redundant. Watch the onset of panic.
14. Ring your friend before he / she goes to work and say "I'm so sorry to hear you got fired! " - Act surprised they didn't know yet.
15. When you've stopped at traffic lights, glance over at the driver next to you and do a double-take. Then, with a panicked expression on your face, lock all the doors.
