Some restaurants don’t partake in celebrating the more boisterous holidays, such as St. Patrick’s day, but it can be a huge moneymaker for those that do. Here are a few ways you can celebrate the holiday at your restaurant.

Green Drinks

What is St. patty’s day without some green beer? Patrons celebrating will love showing off their green beverages when they share their photos of the night to their social feeds. Be sure that you have green drinks for people who don’t drink beer and those that don’t drink alcohol at all, especially if your restaurant is a family-oriented atmosphere.

Block Party

If your location has the space and other small businesses that would like to participate, a St Patrick’s day block party is a great way to draw a crowd and make new customers. You can provide games, serve food, serve beverages, and have live entertainment. This will allow people to stay and enjoy your venue for hours instead of a shorter visit. The longer they are there, the more they will spend at your establishment.

Green Menu Items

Green food isn’t always appealing, but in the name of a holiday-oriented around Kelley Green, it can be a fun way to help people step out of the box and try something new. You can offer some naturally green menu items like salads and spinach dip or take to dying some of your favorite menu items for the festivities.

Scavenger Hunt

Have you ever found a pot of gold at the end of a rainbow? How fun would it be to give your patrons the chance to go on a scavenger hunt for the pot of gold. You can have some sort of gift basket or prize waiting at the end for one lucky winner and/or several smaller prizes for everyone who finishes. Make sure that you advertise this event well to ensure a great turnout and definitely stipulate that purchase is required to play to encourage sales.

Costume Contest

Has anybody seen a leprechaun? Say yeah! Patrons love an opportunity to dress up and show off their creativity, especially if it means winning a trophy or a prize. Host a small costume contest for the best-dressed leprechaun. You can either choose judges or vote by crowd response. Either way, everyone will have a great time.
