Employees at Quikstone Capital Solutions and Sterling Payment Technologies have had a busy spring supporting Tampa Bay area charitable causes.

In April, Sterling sponsored a team to participate in Paint Your Heart Out, Tampa. Paint Your Heart Out is a volunteer-driven non-profit program that helps improve Tampa neighborhoods for low-income, elderly residents. Sterling's team consisted of 16 employees that volunteered their time and painting skills to spruce up a neighborhood home and carport.

The effort is rewarding for the participants as well as the homeowner. "It always feels great to give back to the city in which you live and work," said Steve Hall, director of ISO sales. "Paint Your Heart Out is especially gratifying because we can all see the immediate result of our work, and we get to see the smile of a happy resident."

In April, Quikstone Capital Solutions and Sterling Payment held a food drive to support Metropolitan Ministries, a Tampa non-profit that cares for homeless and those at risk of becoming homeless. Sterling employees donated more than 340 canned goods and more than $140 in cash donations. Quikstone Capital Solutions accountant Victoria Wilkins coordinated the effort for her floor of the company. "There are more than 17,000 homeless people in Hillsborough County, including families and with children," Wilkins said. "This is just one small way to help those in need."
