Updating Your Restaurant Menus

Updating Your Restaurant MenusYour menu is more important than you might think. While it, of course, does the job of letting your customers know what you have to serve them, it is also one of the first impressions people get of your establishment and can set the tone for your customers visit. If you have not made an update to your menu in quite some time, it might be worth considering. Here are a few ways to change up your restaurant menus.

QR Codes

Some restaurants are making the switch to getting rid of physical menus and using QR codes that lead guests to an electronic menu. While this is not a viable option for all restaurants, some restaurants have really benefitted from electronic menus. They clear up table space and reduce the amount of cleaning that servers have to do. They also make it easy for customers to browse the menu as soon as they get to the establishment.

Light up menus

Something that can really jazz up your menu is adding lighting. If your restaurant is not well-lit for ambiance, it is vital that your menus are still legible without guests having to use their phone’s flashlight. Lighted menus are usually accomplished with LED lights and come in several sizes to accommodate any menu size.

Replaceable inserts

Did you know that 31% of restauranteurs update their menus on a monthly basis? This is for several reasons, but the largest being that fresh foods have seasons, and sometimes keeping the same items on the menu is not possible when you want to avoid using frozen or preserved ingredients. Having inserts that you can easily change when the menu is updated is an affordable way to have a tangible menu.

Unique Design

Simple menus probably go unnoticed daily. However, when you have a unique menu that stands out, it’s something that customers will remember. This can include custom artwork, photos, or colors that stand out. Anything that makes your menu look different, in a good way, will add to the uniqueness of your menu and your restaurant.
