Valentine's day will generate about 24 billion dollars in revenue. This hefty amount will help stimulate the economy and grow small businesses.

5.8 billion dollars will be spent purchasing jewelry as gifts for Valentine's day. Jewelry stores make their profits through significant sales on certain pieces.

Men are not surprisingly the big spenders on valentine's day. They are spending approximately 250$, whereas women usually spend about 100$.
