As more Americans use their smartphones on a regular basis, more are choosing to employ the devices to shop - and they're purchasing products en masse. A recent report from the News Observer displays just how much minor internet exposure can drive sales for online merchant accounts.
According to the report, Raleigh, North Carolina-based jeweler JousJous saw their sales skyrocket after they were featured on Amazon home page, showing how online payment processing capabilities can give businesses the opportunity to achieve much higher profit margins. The company saw their daily online sales jump from an average of six to 12 pieces a day to, in one 24-hour period, sales of nearly 500 units.
